The Tippah County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) recently hosted a field day on the Owl Creek-Little Hatchie River Watershed 319 project. This field day showcased the farm of Thomas Wood where he works with his grandson, Logan Yancey. This farm is one of the demonstration farms within the watershed that has installed multiple Best Management Practices (BMPs) to help improve the water quality with the side benefit of making their farming operation more efficient.
