Annual Meeting of the Mississippi Association of Conservation Districts (MACD)
The Annual Meeting of the Mississippi Association of Conservation Districts (MACD) is a highly anticipated two-day event held at the start of each new year. This gathering brings together landowners, conservationists, and community leaders to discuss critical updates to state and federal policies and regulations impacting conservation efforts. Attendees gain valuable insights into changes in policy and learn innovative strategies to improve or implement environmental and conservation practices on their land.
While education and information-sharing are at the forefront, the heart of the event lies in its mission to raise scholarship funds for future leaders. The primary goal of the Annual Meeting is to support incoming college students pursuing degrees in fields related to conservation and environmental studies. By investing in the next generation of environmental stewards, the MACD Annual Meeting continues to advance the cause of sustainable land management and environmental protection for Mississippi and beyond.
This event serves as a unique opportunity to network, learn, and contribute to shaping the future of conservation in our communities.
